About the Project
This project involved creating a smart apartment monitoring device to enhance indoor and outdoor safety and comfort. The device combined various sensors, including an air quality sensor, infrared sensor, microphone, and accelerometer, with the accelerometer and LEDs also serving as a user interface. Communication relied on a ZigBee.
The device provided live updates when detected excessive noise in a child’s room, the sound of breaking glass, indicating the detection of intruders, and when air quality became unhealthy. It could also distinguish between human movement and pets to reduce false alarms, ensuring a secure and responsive monitoring experience.
Responsibilities
- Leading team management of Firmware Devlopment Team, including task prioritization, backlog and documentation creation, and colaboration with Hardware team from Client’s side.
- Writing and optimizing code for the PIR sensor to detect movement and distinguish between humans and pets.
- Communicating with the Client to gather device requirements, ensure project alignment with expectations and informing about project progress.
- Testing and validation of the device in real-world conditions according to standards.
